The Hereditary Cancer Risk Assessment Program is for men and women at risk for any kind of hereditary cancer, whether they have a personal or a family history of cancer or they just have questions about whether genetic testing is appropriate for them. This program is open to anyone who is interested. A doctor’s referral is not required. In most cases, only one or two visits are necessary.
The Hereditary Cancer Risk Assessment Program is directed by Christy Savage FNP-BC, an Advanced Practice Nurse in Genetics at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Institute. She has completed the Intensive Course in Cancer Risk Assessment at the City of Hope Division of Clinical Cancer Genomics.
